In this position you will support a broad array of applications in support of state-of-the-art underwater defense system test and evaluation. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Government Clearance. Note: U.S. Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.

Essential Responsibilities:

Responsible for all aspects of the software development lifecycle for existing and new product development. Analyze and understand customer requirements and software design objectives. Architect, design, and implement software applications. Integrate and maintain computer software, hardware, and network infrastructure. Maintain existing systems to include modifications, general troubleshooting, and communication with end-users. Develop an understanding of AUTEC’s off-shore range environment including data flows and tracking systems and algorithms. Perform code reviews. Willingness to share knowledge. Support periods of 24 hour on-call. Perform other job-related duties as assigned or requested.

Minimum Requirements:

0-2 years of related experience working in software development field. Bachelor’s degree in an associated discipline or equivalent. Four (4) years of related experience will be considered in lieu of degree. Security+ CE certification is requiredExperience with Java and C#. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems. Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Experience learning systems and business model. Poses strong analytical and quantitative abilities. Must be able to reside in remote location with limited medical facilities. Valid Driver’s License and U.S. Passport are required. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Government Clearance. Note: U.S. Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.

Preferred Requirements:

Working knowledge of IP-based networking (TCP, UDP, and UDP Multicast) and troubleshooting networked software applications, preferred. Knowledge of relational databases preferably SQL Server, preferred. Understanding of tracking technologies (digital signal processing, RADAR, LATR, GPS), preferred.
