Both a back-end software developer and a communicator you’ll work within the software development team and across teams to advance quality products. But not just any quality products. Ready for a challenge?Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesWhile you might get to work on just about anything at Geonetric, you’ll primarily: Work with peers in an Agile software development team to build and maintain Web-based software applications built in C#, HTML, and JavaScript/TypeScriptWrite production level code with revisions from peer review, within a defined sectionReview and understand third party API documentation for integrating Geonetric productsWork with peers to write and maintain automated testsMaintain security, performance, and code quality standards, working collaboratively within a Continuous Integration environmentShow a professional curiosity and work with peers to advance technical expertiseProvide internal support for various internal tools and core product softwareMaintain and support software by fixing bugs and contributing to projectsMeet with internal teams and clients to brainstorm opportunities for improvements and enhancements Education and ExperienceAssociate’s Degree required, Bachelor’s Degree preferred in Computer Science or related fieldThree to Five (3-5) years previous related experienceProfessional SkillsA basic knowledge and understanding of programming fundamentals required; that could include for example SOLID Principles, Domain Driven Design, and basic design patterns such as Factory, Singleton, Observer, Chain of Responsibility, etcFamiliarity with database technologies required with a focus on Microsoft SQL ServerExperience with object-oriented programming languages requiredWeb development experience requiredExperience with .Net requiredExperience with C# requiredExperience with SQL server requiredExperience with Single Page Applications required with a preference for React experienceExperience with troubleshooting client-side bugs requiredExperience with developing client-facing applications with a focus on high availability strongly preferredKnowledge of common web application cybersecurity attacks, such as SQL injection and Cross-Site Scripting, and how to defend against them strongly preferredFamiliarity with enterprise content management systems preferredExperience with continuous integration, automated test methods, and Scrum/Agile methods preferred Other Skills and AbilitiesIn addition to being an amazing Software Developer, you’ll need to fit into our unique culture and be:Self-organized.
