This role sits within the Consumer technology area and allows you to own and ship new features all of our client’s customers love and use daily. You’ll be working within the ZCL Home team, joining backend and full stack developers building, maintaining and optimising various integrations that enable our client to provide many of the products he offers.
In this role, you will work within a product team and collaborate with other teams to build reusable components and platform capabilities and have the opportunity to work on a number of experiences touching all of our client’s existing product range and new product launches.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Developing new features by designing and implementing them using the appropriate principles and design patternsMaintaining existing code and writing automation tests to ensure a high standard of qualityDiagnosing and fixing critical bugs and improving performancesWriting documentation for new and existing featuresCoordinating with other team members and the product team

Strong experience in software engineering, with a focus on back-end development with Node.js and TypeScriptExperience with Terraform and AWSFamiliarity with Test Driven Development is welcomedExperience with Kafka would be a plusA desire to learn how to build resilient, scalable, and secure systemsA passion for technical excellenceAbility to efficiently comprehend new systems and dive into technical issuesAdaptability and flexibility when dealing with change and ambiguityAbility to interpret and communicate information in a clear and concise manner to others (technical/non-technical team members etc.)Excellent verbal and written communication skills in EnglishBachelor or higher degree in computer science (or equivalent)
