This position provides the opportunity to work in a high growth area in the IBM Software – IT Automation area. The successful candidate will work with our IBM Tivoli Network Manager (ITNM) product, contributing to product development, enhancement and maintenance including triaging and debugging of customer complaints and providing solutions in collaboration with support team.

The role provides opportunity to develop ITNM features especially in GUI and Integration modules using various front end and backend technologies including Java, Java script, JSP, ASP.net etc. Also there is scope for technical support assistance directly (remote sessions / phone/ live chat / cognitive support platform) to clients, using problem determination and analytical skills. You will be involved in the following:

Own customer request for enhancements (RFEs), Modernization & Serviceability

improvements and deliver results in timely manner

Analyze and understand requirements, Plan implementation schedule, Develop, Unit test,

Document and deliver changes to customers.

Work on defect fixing and provide resolution to customer reported bugs (known issues) and

internally found bugs.

Provide dev triage to customer reported issues (PMRs) that support team can’t resolve and

find solutions.

Look for avenues to recommend, or implement, new solutions or improvements to existing

technical support tools, procedures, or processes.

Collaborate with other development and support teams to find appropriate solutions. Communicate with the team and management regularly and keep them updated of the status

and progress.

Participate in department objectives such as building the knowledge base, improving

serviceability, mentoring team members, and contributing to high customer satisfaction.

Required Technical And Professional Expertise

7 to 11 years of overall experience in software development with a proven track record of delivering enterprise-grade applications.Deep understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, multithreading etc using core and advanced Java. Java full stack capability will be given priority.Good development exposure to implementing REST/SOAP APIs using Java.Extensive UI Development experience including dynamic web pages using JSP and Servlets, with strong knowledge of the MVC architecture, exposure to JavaScript, Java Portlets, Struts Framework, Dojo toolkit.Basic understanding on telecom domains EMS/NMS, Network devices(switches/routers..etc) and their internal components and their communication protocols.End-to-end involvement in software development life cycle (SDLC), including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, and support.

Preferred Technical And Professional Experience

Experience with Spring Framework and Spring Boot for building modern, scalable, and loosely coupled applications.Familiarity with Linux, DB2/Oracle, GitHub, JIRA, Maven, Jenkins etcKnowledge of cloud-based development (AWS, Azure, or GCP).Experience in debugging complex issues across layers and proposing long-term, scalable solutions.Experience working in Agile/Scrum-based development environments.Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams including UI/UX, DevOps, QA, and business stakeholders.
