A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Software Developer to join our team at Sunbelt Rentals UK. Its our vision to own the future of rentals and our mission to deliver a world-class experience. As a Software Developer you will be responsible for maintaining and developing both internal and customer facing, business critical and innovative applications, in both new and legacy technologies where required. You will also provide technical support over these applications to ensure any faults are resolved quickly and effectively. As part of the role you perform code reviews to identify basic technical and logical errors, and also to help ensure good coding standards.
You will be expected to be involved in the sprint cycles and planning/review sessions, as well as the iterative build, test and deployment processes for your relevant team
Key Responsibilities
Manage your delivery commitments within sprints to ensure timely and quality delivery of solutionsAnalysing and planning of technical requirements for solutionsReview, support and feedback size requirements for work items produced by the Business Analysis teamWriting and reviewing code for both functionality and standardsPreparing of test cases for unit & integration testingInvolving in the successful deployment of applications and solutionsProblem solving and resolving technical issuesKeeping up to date with industry trends and developments

About You
To be successful in this role you will likely be in a similar position or have relevant transferable experience.
You will be comfortable working under pressure and to tight deadlines whilst still maintaining a professional and approachable manner. You will enjoy working as part of a team and have excellent communication skills.
To succeed as a Software Developer you will bring the following skill-set and behaviours:
Proficient in C#, .NET Framework/.NET Core & ASP.NETProficient in T-SQLA good knowledge of HTML, JavaScript & CSSA knowledge of older technologies such as ASP.NET Web Forms and Classic asp preferredKnowledge of a JavaScript framework preferable, e.g. ReactKnowledge of UI/UX standards, trends and emerging technologiesExperience integrating with other systems through web services, e.g. REST and GraphQLExperience with Azure Integration technologies (Inc. App services, Azure Functions, Logic Apps, and API Manager Etc.)Understanding of security practicesAgile Development methodologiesGood knowledge of version control & CI/CDKnowledge of Azure DevOps preferableGood interpersonal skillsExtensive experience in web app developmentBachelors Degree Level or above in a related subject (Computer Science etc.) preferred.Professional Certifications in relevant Technologies
