Role Overview
We are looking for a Software Developer to join our growing and ambitious Development team. You will form part of a high calibre team responsible for development and maintenance of software applications for various business lines driving value from these systems. We are looking for someone with a passion for software development from conception to deployment. You will have the desire to strive and go the extra mile.
This role requires someone who is passionate about creating solutions for the business and seeing end users benefit from the software they create. You would be a keen learner and show an interest in the advancements in software development and technology.
Main Duties
Work with Development colleagues and product managers to create secure and well-functioning software solutions.Collaborate with front-end developers to write effective and secure RESTful APIs.Ensure APIs are well-documented and optimized for performance.Develop and manage efficient databases.Run diagnostics and implement resolutions of software faults.Test software to ensure they meet the agreed requirements and are responsive and efficient.Ensure all business-critical services run smoothly and be able to manage escalations and see tasks through to completion.Assist with the maintenance of automated provisioning and testing of environments, and the automated build and deployment of solutions.
General Duties
Contribute to the development of the Development team processes to ensure they are cohesive, efficient, and effective.Work as part of a team, using Agile methodologies.Undertake training and development as appropriate and engage fully in the performance management process.Contribute to the LawDeb culture positively, attend meetings as required, and carry out duties willingly and diligentlyWhere regulatory rules apply, abide by these in spirit and fact.Carry out such other tasks as you may be reasonably directed to do by your line manager and the senior management team from time to time.

Essential Knowledge, Skills, Experience
Proven experience as a Software DeveloperProficiency with the backend language, C#History of software craftmanship and appreciation for clean and well-designed codebasesExperience developing desktop and web-based applications with SQL databasesExperience of working in an Agile manner, attending the typical ceremonies, adopting the principles and practices that entails, and solving complex problems iteratively with fellow team membersFamiliarity, ideally experience, of automating environment provisioning, build, deploy, and test pipelines in the interest of a continuous delivery approach to ship software and being part of a DevOps cultureFamiliar with version control
