About The Role

As a Backend Engineer at Anon, you’ll contribute to building and scaling our enterprise data migration platform that enables companies to seamlessly transfer customer data between systems. You’ll work on secure authentication systems, data extraction workflows, and platform integrations while learning from experienced engineers. This is an excellent opportunity to grow your backend engineering skills while working on cutting-edge AI infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

Builder Mindset & Growth

Build reliable, well-tested backend features with guidance from senior engineersTake ownership of smaller features and contribute to larger initiativesLearn to identify and proactively address potential issuesDemonstrate pride in code quality and user experience

Core Platform Development

Contribute to scalable, secure APIs that power our platform-specific SDKsWork on networking features including request handling and basic proxy functionalityBuild and maintain data pipelines and infrastructure components on GCP, AWS, or similar platformsSupport authentication protocol implementation and security featuresDevelop integrations with third-party services and APIsWrite comprehensive tests and documentation for your code

Collaboration & Learning

Work closely with senior engineers to understand system architecture and best practicesCollaborate with product and frontend teams to deliver cohesive featuresParticipate in code reviews and learn from feedbackSupport customer integration efforts under guidance

What We’re Looking For

Technical Requirements

2-5 years of backend engineering experienceStrong proficiency in TypeScript/Node.js for backend developmentExperience building REST APIs and understanding of API design principlesBasic knowledge of databases such as PostgreSQLFamiliarity with cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, or Azure)Understanding of Docker and containerizationExperience with Git and collaborative development workflowsKnowledge of web security fundamentalsGraphQL experience is a plusCI/CD experience with GitHub Actions is a plusBasic understanding of networking concepts (HTTP, TCP) is a plus
