Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Software Engineer with a strong background in project management, agile development, and leadership. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading software development projects, managing cross-functional teams, and ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality software solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage software development projects. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, goals, and deliverables. Implement and oversee agile development processes to ensure timely and efficient project execution. Act as an advocate for agile development within the team and organization. Utilize Jira and Confluence for project tracking, documentation, and team collaboration. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to software engineering team members. Develop and maintain high-quality software solutions that meet the needs of our research and development efforts. Continuously improve software development practices and processes. Ensure effective communication and collaboration within the team and with other departments.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. 5 years coding experienceProven experience in software engineering, with a focus on project management and leadership. Strong understanding of agile development methodologies and best practices. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, and C++. Experience with project management tools, particularly Jira and Confluence. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in the biotechnology or genetics industry. Knowledge of genetic data analysis and bioinformatics tools. Experience with AWS, containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes), and cloud-based infrastructure. Familiarity with genetics and bioinformatics applications.
