Job Description

Our NielsenIQ technology teams are working on building a unified, global, open data ecosystem . Our clients worldwide rely on NielsenIQ data and insights to innovate and grow. We are looking for an experienced C++ Developer to be part of our Technology hub, to build and transform our factory systems, which are critical to the business.

Responsibilities

Approach work from an Agile mindset applying practices and principles wherever possibleAttend and participate in all Sprint events to achieve desired outcomesInteract with stakeholders/Product Owners to clarify requirements and provide input into the creation of User StoriesResponsible for estimation, sprint planning and managing all their own tasks, and reporting on progressCollaborates closely with all team members to take shared responsibility for the sprint backlog and the team’s successDevelops new or amended features, resolves bugs, and carries out other tasks as required to realize business goalsProduces high-quality code and takes responsibility for the quality of their own code – writing unit tests and conducting unit testing where applicableMaintains broader code quality through peer code reviewsAssist with live releases in line with the team’s release scheduleIdentify improvement opportunities to improve team processes and agree on actionable improvements

Qualifications

Minimum 2-3 years of experience in C++Strong hands-on technical skills on C++, Shell Scripting , Linux & SQLBasic Knowledge on Python and Cloud ConceptsUnit Testing (Gtest)GITHub – Hands on ExpGood understanding of software architecture, issues, and designGood understanding of data structure and databasesSome experience in code reviews and coding standardsExcellent communication skills – both written and verbal
