Software Engineer – Desktop Apps – REMOTE

Job Overview

We are looking for a strong founding team engineer to own the end-to-end development of our Windows and macOS desktop applications.

At Text Blaze, ownership includes both the tech and the product.

On the tech side, you should be a great desktop app developer. Specifically, you should:

Be proficient in MSVC++ and the Win32 APIs on Windows and/or Objective-C and the Core Foundation framework on macOSBe proficient in manual memory management and multi-threadingBe able to profile or decompile third-party applications to address compatibility issuesBe able to think laterally to troubleshoot system-level issuesExperience with system-level UI Automation/Accessibility APIs is a plus

On The Product Side, You Should

Love talking to users and working out how to solve their problemsHave an eye for design and be comfortable designing your own UIs and own solutions
