About This Role

This position is for a Software Engineer who will work within our software engineering organization to develop and maintain the FlippedApp product. As a Software Engineer, you will report directly to the Software Engineering Manager, who will be primarily responsible for providing direction and evaluating your performance. Responsibilities include:

Develop software adhering to the team’s established best practices and processesEnsure product quality through development of automated testsProvide and receive peer code reviewsDevelop new functionality as specifiedFix bugs with existing codeActively participate in agile planning and release processesOther duties as assigned

Requirements

About You

You are a full stack developerYou can proficiently write code in JavaScriptYou have experience working with cloud platforms (AWS / Azure)You have experience with agile software development and working as part of a collaborative agile teamYou can demonstrate knowledge of computer science principles, preferably with a computer science degreeYou are organized, methodical, and consistent

Preferred Technologies (do you have experience with some of these?)

JavaScript (TypeScript, React, Node.js, Express)AWS / AzureGitDocker

Extra Credit

You have experience building accessible websites that meet the WCAG 2.1 Level AA standardYou have experience writing serverless functions (i.e. AWS Lambda)You are comfortable leveraging AI in your development workflow (i.e. Cursor, Claude, OpenAI)
