The Red Hat Performance and Scale Engineering team is looking for a Software Engineer to join us in Raleigh, NC. In this role, you will join a diverse team of highly motivated engineers to define and implement a new user interface for performance and benchmark data. You’ll collaborate with experienced performance engineers to develop use cases and workflow to organize, manage, and visualize detailed performance data in conjunction with a REST API.

Work as part of an agile team to actively communicate status and complete deliverables on scheduleParticipate in and contribute to weekly team meetings Participate in end-to-end software delivery, including enhancements and bug fixes for critical customer-facing applicationsUse source control to manage project versions and code changesCollaborate with and influence other parts of the organization to jointly deliver customer valuePropose and implement continuous improvement activities.

What You Will Bring

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, information systems or related field2+ years experience with web application technologies.Experience with Python, REST API, Javascript, ReactJSExperience designing with HTML and CSSExperience with continuous integration (e.g., GitHub Actions, OpenShift GitOps, etc.)Experience with podman and Linux containers Technical strategy and advanced problem-solving skillsAbility to handle multiple tasks, prioritize, and work under pressureAbility to work in a globally distributed team and communicate effectivelyExcellent written and verbal communication skills

The Following Are Considered a Plus

Experience with frontend and backend testing frameworksOpen source development processes

The salary range for this position is $94,550.00 – $151,170.00. Actual offer will be based on your qualifications.

Pay Transparency

Red Hat determines compensation based on several factors including but not limited to job location, experience, applicable skills and training, external market value, and internal pay equity. Annual salary is one component of Red Hat’s compensation package. This position may also be eligible for bonus, commission, and/or equity. For positions with Remote-US locations, the actual salary range for the position may differ based on location but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
