Requirements

We are looking for a talented Software Engineer (Go) to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in developing high-performance back-end services that support financial service applications. Your focus will be on collaborating with cross-functional teams to create innovative solutions for complex problems in the asset management space.

We are particularly seeking candidates who are proficient in integrating AI tools into their daily development cycle to improve productivity, code quality, and problem-solving.

There is an expectation of attending our Churchill Place, Canary Wharf office, up to 3 days each week.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and develop highly scalable and reliable services in GO languageCollaborating with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and test software solutionsKafka integration and implementation with Go servicesLeverage the corporate AI assistant and other strategic coding tools to enhance development workflowsActively use AI tools to support code generation, debugging, documentation, and testingEnsure that all microservices are highly available and fault tolerantTroubleshooting and debugging issues as they ariseKeeping up to date with emerging trends, AI-assisted development practices, and best practices in front-end developmentParticipating in code reviews and contributing to a positive team cultureEnsure all code written has the appropriate level of unit test coverage

Key Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related fieldProven experience as a Developer or similar roleStrong proficiency in JavaScript, CSS, and HTMLExperience with state management libraries such as Redux or MobXFamiliarity with RESTful APIs and asynchronous data fetchingKnowledge of modern front-end development tools and frameworks such as webpack, babel, and npmExperience with version control systems such as GitDemonstrated ability to effectively use AI tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, AI-powered testing and linting tools) to accelerate and improve software developmentExcellent problem-solving skills and attention to detailAbility to work both independently and as part of a teamStrong verbal and written communication skillsExperience with server-side rendering and/or Next.jsFamiliarity with testing frameworks such as Jest or EnzymeKnowledge of GraphQL and Apollo ClientUnderstanding of UX design principles and accessibility best practices
