Core Engineering Responsibilities

Design and develop high-performance, scalable API integrations between our platform and third-party applicationsArchitect and implement efficient data pipelines and ETL processes with modern software engineering practicesWrite clean, maintainable code for complex data transformation workflows between disparate systemsDevelop automated testing frameworks to ensure integration reliability and performanceImplement robust error handling, logging, and monitoring for critical integration pointsOptimize existing integrations for performance, security, and maintainabilityContribute to core platform development with a focus on integration capabilitiesCollaborate with the engineering team in code reviews and architectural decisionsCreate technical documentation for API specifications and integration patternsParticipate in agile development processes including sprint planning and retrospectives

Technical Requirements

3+ years of software engineering experience with a focus on system integrations and API developmentStrong proficiency in at least one of: JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Go, or other modern programming languagesAdvanced knowledge of SQL, database design, and data transformation techniquesExperience designing and implementing RESTful APIs and GraphQL interfacesProven experience with webhook implementations and event-driven architecturesStrong understanding of authentication mechanisms (OAuth, API keys, JWT) and API security best practicesExperience with containerization (Docker) and container orchestration (Kubernetes)Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processesSolid understanding of software design patterns and architectural principlesExperience with version control systems (Git) and collaborative development workflows

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and their integration servicesKnowledge of integration platforms (iPaaS) such as MuleSoft, Boomi, Workato, or ZapierExperience with message queues and streaming platforms (Kafka, RabbitMQ)Background in enterprise software integrations across CRM, ERP, marketing automation systemsFamiliarity with microservices architecture and service-oriented designExperience with NoSQL databases and data warehousing solutionsUnderstanding of data security, compliance, and privacy considerations in software development

The base salary range for this position is [$110,000-$130,000]. However, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition to base salary, we also offer generous equity and benefits packages.
