The anticipated salary range for this role is between $88,000.00 and $105,000.00. The specific salary offered to an applicant will be based on their individual qualification, experiences, and analysis of current compensation paid in their geography and the market for similar roles at time of hire. The role may also be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive award. In addition to cash compensation, SMBC MANUBANK offers a competitive portfolio of benefits to its employees.

We are seeking a Junior Software Engineer for our Middleware/API engineering team. This team is responsible for building the Customer facing Omni Channel Services using Java, Kotlin. In this role, you will work as engineer in an agile team and collaborate with product owner, designer, and QA to design, build & maintain digital bank.
Principal Duties And Responsibilites
Applying design patterns in developing scalable and highly performant application/featuresWriting code and unit tests, automation, code reviews and testingDeploying to production and dev opsWork with product managers to prioritize features for ongoing sprints and managing a list of technical requirements based on industry trends, new technologies, known defects, and issues.Manage your own time and work well both independently and as part of a team.Quickly generate and update proof of concepts for testing and team feedback Embrace emerging standards while promoting best practices.
Position Specifications
Fundamentals in software engineering.Aptitude for learning and applying programming concepts.Knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming, Core JAVA, Database core concepts, Design Patterns.Team player, self-starter and passion for programming.Good verbal and written communication skills.Organization skills and attention to detail.Knowledge of Cloud technologies is a plus but not necessity.
