SUMMARYResponsible for the analysis, design, development, testing and maintenance of applications in support of the administration and delivery of language proficiency assessment products and services.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIESWorks with technical product management in the analysis of features, proposing solutions, determining tasks and sizing accordingly as part of the planning process for successful delivery of product enhancements
Contributes to design discussions adhering to architectural best practices considering scalability, reliability, performance and security
Performs full-stack development and delivery of solutions through crafting production-ready and testable code, database resources and infrastructure
Participates in design and code reviews both providing and incorporating feedback in alignment with best practices and standards as part of the development teamSupports testing and quality initiatives through unit testing, test automation and defect remediation in conjunction with quality assurance
Accountable for ensuring all aspects of product development follow compliance, security and data protection best practices
Embraces emerging technology opportunities, innovation, collaboration and continuous improvement
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCEBachelor’s degree in computer science, related degrees or equivalent experience
5+ years of experience delivering enterprise-level software and web applicationsProficiency with object-oriented design, data structures and algorithmsExperience with Agile development methodologies
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIESFull-stack development experience and skills, including:Modern front-end development frameworks, preferably AngularPHP and Laravel framework applications.NET technologies such as ASP.NET, C#, .NET Core, T-SQL, MVC and Web ServicesExperience with SQLServer & MySQL databasesDeveloping RESTful API integrations utilizing JSON, XMLIDEs (MS Visual Studio, PHP Storm)Agile project and collaboration tools such Jira and Confluence
Skills that will set you apart:Knowledge of Amazon Web Services, cloud-native architectures, event-driven design, serverless and infrastructure-as-code (SQS, SMS, Lambda, CloudFormation, etc)DevOps experience utilizing and administering automated deployment tools as part of a CI/CD pipeline (GitHub actions, SonarQube, etc))Secure coding practices as defined by OWASP and NIST security standardsWorking within compliance frameworks such as SOC2 and/or GDPR
