The Banking & Insurance Group (BIG) is one of the most successful divisions within CARFAX, serving the insurance, automotive finance, and credit union industries. We are in high-growth mode as the use of vehicle history in these markets is increasing exponentially.
Responsibilities and Impact:
You will be part of Development team in CARFAX BIG division and closely working with our colleagues from US. Your responsibilities include:
Developing web applications, APIs, batch servicesBeing a contributor in a highly collaborative team environment using Agile/XP practicesWorking with cross-functional teams like DBAs, network/infrastructure/platform engineers, and other developers on a variety of applications
What We’re Looking For:
Basic Required Qualifications:
Knowledge and/or experience in Java (or any other JVM language)Ability to solve problems and learn from mistakesFamiliarity with database conceptsGood troubleshooting skillsGood understanding of object-oriented programming, clean code principles and design patternsKnowledge of techniques like unit testing, pair programming, code reviewsMotivation to learnDuring your internship you’ll get to know below technologies (if you know some of them already – join us now!)JVM programming language (Java/Kotlin/Groovy)ReactSpring frameworkREST/GraphQLAWSDocker, KubernetesSQL/NoSQL DatabaseUnit and integration testingGradle/npm/yarnGitlabGit
