The Department and PositionThe department is responsible for development and maintenance of Capital Market applications used by worldwide users.
Within the Post Trade IT section of Capital Market IT Singapore, the candidate will join our CIBOS (Calypso as International Back-Office System) team in charge of supporting the Back Office (BO) system used for Foreign Exchange and Money Markets activities. This critical team is managing systems and interfaces with various upstream and downstream system for key complex functions such as Confirmations, Payments, Regulatory Reporting, Accounting and Reconciliation reports.
The team works closely with other upstream and downstream systems such as – Front Office applications (BLOFI, KONDOR+, OMEGA, ORCHESTRADE…), Payment, Market data, regulatory reporting and accounting systems. MissionAs an intern, your mission is to become an asset to our organization by:Using copilot to refactor complex code of Calypso CACIB customizations into a small and well documented method.Generating of unit test coverage using copilot for developersRemoving Sonar’s warnings and vulnerabilities identified by our systems (checkmarx and sonar…).Working on Automation and Development: demonstrating a deep passion for development, especially in Technologies: Java, Oracle, Shell Scripting, SQL, Oracle and CI/CD Tools (GIT, Maven, ANT, Jenkins, Gradle, copilot, Sonar… During your internship, you will have the opportunity to:Learn about Capital Market Back Office activities: interfacing with different upstream and downstream systems, handling of client confirmation and payments, accounting entries generation, transactional reporting, Regulatory requirements, and purpose of reconciliation activities b/w FO & BO – opportunity to learn end-to-end investment banking workflows.To apply your learning and be impactful.Gain insights into Software Development, understand the SDLC and its real-life implementation.Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts, including Business Analysts, Support Analysts, Developers, DevOps Engineers, etc.Benefit from the guidance of a dedicated mentor.Deliver on jobs that directly impact the banks day-to-day activities and witness the added value of your job directly from business lines.Learn on a one of the leader Capital Market software: NASDAQ CALYPSO. Qualifications and ProfileCandidates should have:Understanding of Object-Oriented analysis and design using common design patterns.Java, SQL, and UNIX/LINUX Scripting skills.Basic understanding of the Spring Framework, Microservices architecture and API.Interest in Bank activities: Appetite to understand the business activities of the bank on Capital Markets.
