About YouWe are looking for a 2025 summer intern to fill our Software Engineer position for a period of approximately three months. This is a full-time, onsite position in Santa Clara, California with a competitive hourly pay rate, which is also eligible for overtime pay. This temporary role will start in May or June 2025 and extend through the summer. The exact start date and end date can be flexible to accommodate your school calendar. Our interns will receive mentorship and learning opportunities, while also holding a variety of important responsibilities, including but not limited to:
Designing Data Storage / File Server Architecture for Image Analysis Systems that will scale to Petabyte StorageSetting up Python Scripts for automationDesigning databases schemas (both SQL and non-SQL)Understanding existing AI pipelines and annotate new training dataAssisting in creating API endpoints for data queryTesting and validating sustainability-related software productsDeveloping code for new features and improvementsContinuously learning about the technologies used and contributing to performance improvements
RequirementsCurrently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field from an accredited college or universityProficient with Python and C# programming languagesProficient with API developmentFamiliar with network architecture concepts and troubleshootingAbility to handle and extract salient information from large datasetsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsEager to learn, positive attitude and highly motivatedEffective communication and teamwork abilitiesAble to work in a team as well as in an organized and independent mannerProficient in proactively improving processes and having an overview on tasksA passionate drive, a curious mind, and an adaptable spiritExperience with mechanical/electrical engineering concepts is a plusFamiliarity with machine learning architecture is a plus
EligibilityIn order to be considered for this role, qualified applicants must:Be able to work onsite daily in Santa Clara, CABe legally authorized to work in the US for the duration of internship. Visa sponsorship is not available for this positionLive in the US at the time of application and at the time the internship beginsBe in good academic standing at your university, with a preferred GPA of 3.0 or above on a 4.0 scaleBe able to work 40 hours a week for ~12 weeks (full-time for 3 months)
Pay RangeThe hourly, non-exempt rate for this position is $35.00 per hour for Bachelor’s students and $40.00 per hour for Master’s students.
