Are you a skilled software developer looking for a high-impact, short-term challenge? Our client, an innovative deep tech company, is seeking a Mid-Level Software Developer for a 12-week sprint to take their cutting-edge prototype to commercial readiness.
Their breakthrough technology combines machine-readable holographic security markers with a digital authentication system, allowing physical products to be verified through a web-based scanner. With the concept successfully proven, the next step is to build a scalable, robust, and audit-ready system that is production-capable.
This is a hands-on role where you’ll own key technical decisions and work closely with a junior developer and architect to develop a consumer-facing web application and backend infrastructure. You’ll be responsible for:Developing and refining the web app – Implement QR scanning and authentication functionality for a seamless user experience.Building scalable backend infrastructure and APIs – Design robust services that can handle growth and security requirements.Managing AWS-based cloud architecture – Set up and optimize AWS infrastructure (Lambda, S3, RDS/DynamoDB).Ensuring audit-readiness and production capability – Implement best practices for security, logging, and compliance.Implementing CI/CD pipelines – Automate deployment, testing, and infrastructure provisioning.Applying Test-Driven Development (TDD) – Ensure code quality and reliability through structured testing.
What You’ll Bring:Full stack development experience (we’re flexible on exact languages, but proficiency in React, Vue, Node.js, or Python is ideal).Expertise with AWS services – Familiarity with Lambda, S3, RDS/DynamoDB, API Gateway and infrastructure as code tools like CDK, Terraform, or CloudFormation.Proficiency in Git-based workflows – Feature branching, PR reviews, and rebasing.CI/CD and DevOps experience – Hands-on experience with automated testing and deployment pipelines.A structured, self-motivated approach – You’re able to work independently while collaborating closely with the team.Creative problem-solving skills – You enjoy tackling complex challenges and designing efficient solutions.
