Backed by the Brunswick Boat Group, the world’s leading marine product group, we have big ambitions and are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to help us design and evolve the software that powers our world-leading electric hydrofoils.
About the Role
As a Senior Software Engineer, you’ll be responsible for the design, development, verification, and documentation of our embedded and mobile software systems. You’ll contribute to project scheduling, select and use development tools, and stay ahead of industry trends to ensure Fliteboard software remains world-class.This is a hands-on role where you’ll collaborate with both internal cross-functional teams and external app development suppliers to deliver robust, scalable software solutions that support our product vision.
What You’ll Be DoingDesigning, implementing, verifying, and documenting embedded and mobile software.Creating schedules and identifying tooling/equipment needs.Maintaining accurate task progress in Monday and GitLab.Keeping up to date with the latest technologies, standards, and best practices.Collaborating closely with our existing mobile app development supplier.
Success Looks Like:On-time delivery of high-quality software aligned with project milestones.Clear, consistent task tracking and reporting.Positive, effective collaboration across internal teams and external partners.Best practices adopted in coding, documentation, and testing.Noticeable improvements in software performance, maintainability, and test coverage.
What You Bring:Mandatory:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or similar.Experience developing iPhone and Android apps using Flutter/Dart.Strong understanding of Bluetooth protocols, unit testing, and backwards/forwards compatibility.Familiarity with AWS S3/Lambda/REST/Swagger.Desirable:Honours or postgraduate qualification in Embedded Systems, Data Science, or Cybersecurity.Certifications such as AWS Certified Developer, ISTQB, or Scrum certifications.Experience in Python, Electron, or C#.Exposure to Agile practices and cross-functional teams.
