As a part of this world-class software engineering team, you will be charged with architecting, designing, developing, and supporting some Internet-scale features and infrastructures at LinkedIn. The ideal candidate will be excited for the challenge to transform and think critically on many computer science disciplines including product design, usability, building APIs and user-centric online applications, building automation for processes, business logic, scaling performance, and 24×7 reliability.
This role will be based in Bangalore, India.

The work location of this role is hybrid, meaning it will be performed both from home and from a LinkedIn office on select days, as determined by the business needs of the team.
Responsibilities:
· Serve as a primary point responsible for the overall health, performance, and capacity of Big data systems.
· You will develop tools to improve our ability to rapidly deploy and effectively monitor custom applications in a large-scale distributed (Hadoop) storage and processing of offline dataset at LinkedIn.
· You will produce high quality software that is unit tested, code reviewed and checked in regularly for continuous integration.
· You will serve as a primary point responsible for the overall health, performance, and capacity of one or more of our Internet-facing services.
· You will assist in the roll-out and ramp up of new product features and technologies to facilitate our rapid iteration and constant growth.
· You will gain deep knowledge of our complex applications and operate effectively in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
Basic Qualifications:
· BS (or higher, e.g., BE, MS) in Computer Science or related technical field involving coding (e.g., physics or mathematics), or equivalent technical experience.
· 2+ years of industry experience in software design, development, and operation automation related solutions.
· 2+ years programming experience in programming languages such as Python, or Java.
Preferred Qualifications:
· BS and 3+ years of relevant work experience, MS and 1+ years of relevant work experience.
· Expert knowledge of computer science, with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms, and software design.
· Proven coding skills in Java, Python, database design and SQL.
· Experience with Linux operating systems and troubleshooting production systems at scale.
