The project and the teamWe develop modern Software-defined Networking (SDNs) and network operating systems for leading networking equipment manufacturers. We work with cloud-native, containerized software and services, as well as with user-space and kernel-space drivers for advanced network equipment such as switches, routers, and smart network interface cards (smartNICs).We are looking for an engineer with a background in device drivers and OS programming to develop and tailor a network operating system for our client’s devices.What else you should know:We often work using client-supplied hardware and toolsOur projects may be managed by our EMs or directly by the clientMost of our clients are based in the US, so work in the afternoon may sometimes be required
Your teamAs a part of the team, your responsibility will be to:Designing and planning tests for new features of new cutting-edge network solutionsMaintaining and improving a fully automated CI/CD test solutionAutomating test cases in Python using various frameworksDesigning and automating a new environment configuration to extend our testbed capabilitiesWorking in agile methodology and collaborating with a team
Do we have a match?As a QA Engineer, you must meet most of the following criteria:Strong Python programming skillsExperience with CI/CD tools and processes (emphasis on Jenkins)Basic understanding of virtualization technologies (Containers, Virtual Machines, Orchestrators, virtual networks, etc.)At least basic knowledge and experience with computer network configuration, technologies, and protocols (Ethernet/TCP/UDP/DHCP/DNS…)Ability to use Linux network tools for network configuration and testingExperience in working with Linux and GitGood communication skills, English (B2 level)Beyond the criteria above, we would appreciate the nice-to-haves:Experience in testing hardware network solutions (e.g. routers, switches, NICs, etc.)Experience in developing automated solutions with Ansible and Jenkins declarative pipelines with an emphasis on CACAdvanced knowledge of computer networks with emphasis on network routing protocols and tunneling (BPG, BFD, ISIS, L2/L3 tunneling, etc.)Knowledge of network tools with an emphasis on network virtualization (OVS, GoBGP, FRRouting etc.,)Experience working with Software Houses
