Job Description:We are looking for a skilled and motivated Cloud Platform Engineer to join our team and play a key role in delivering cutting-edge cloud solutions. You will collaborate with a globally distributed team to build, maintain, and enhance containerized platforms in production, ensuring the reliability and scalability of our cloud infrastructure. This role is ideal for engineers passionate about modern technologies, eager to drive change, and ready to share their expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and containerization.
ResponsibilitiesDeliver change to production environments daily, ensuring robust and seamless deployment.Build and maintain distributed containerized platforms in production environments.Design, review, and re-engineer processes using new technologies to improve performance.Share knowledge and expertise in GCP to upskill the team and support infrastructure development.Work closely with globally distributed teams to ensure 24/7 support and development of products.Collaborate with development teams and product owners to design solutions tailored to business needs.Provide day-to-day production support for the products you help build.
Must-Have Skills:Fluency in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills.Expertise in CI/CD principles, practices, and enabling technologies, with hands-on experience building custom tooling.Strong knowledge of platform and systems architecture, including containerization and cloud-native application development.Proficiency in Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud-native technologies.Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform.Familiarity with serverless models, e.g., CloudRun.Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure and services, particularly Google Cloud Platform (GCP).Solid understanding of technology layers such as OS, network, database, storage, and applications.Strong GitHub knowledge and adherence to best practices.Scripting proficiency in Bash.Ability to triage and make priority judgments under pressure while managing competing demands.Strong customer service mindset and understanding of customer needs.Proven experience in Agile/DevOps environments and assisting in production support.
Optional/Nice-to-Have Skills:Knowledge of JVM tuning and diagnostics for troubleshooting and performance optimization.Familiarity with REST architecture.Understanding of Clean Code principles.
