Job Overview

RESPONSIBILITIES:Systems Engineer understands the needs of the automotive customers and translates them into actionable requirements for the functional disciplines – e.g. electrical, mechanical, software, etc. and validates that the end product meets what the customer expected.
Understand and document customer needs and requirements. Manage and negotiate customer requirements, change requests, and unwritten expectationsCreate system requirements of Advanced Driver Assist Systems (ADAS) functions (eg. AEB, ELKS, LDW, FCW)Create system requirements of Driver Monitoring Systems (DMS) functions (eg. Drowsiness)Support the Validation team for data collection and validation of ADAS functionsDevelop system documentation following the system engineering process (V-Model, ASPICE)Leads and moderates cross-functional technical workshops including requirements reviewCreate and document standards from customer or governmental legislationCreate and maintain project documentation, such as: system requirements specification, system test plan, other documents as requiredArrange review meetings to agree and align content and resolve change requests among stakeholdersSupport hardware and software engineering in establishing traceability to System Requirements
EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering / Software Engineering / Electrical Engineering / Computer Science or equivalent
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:3+ years’ experience with system engineering in the automotive industry or other areas of automotive embedded ECU development and integration (HW, SW, Test)Automotive background requiredKnowledge of requirement engineering tools (ex. DOORs, Polarion)Strong communication skills in visualization and verbal explanationKnowledge of requirement engineering process (ASPICE)Willingness to work independently but also to engage with the development team regularlyKnowledge of hardware, software, and mechanical design processes and validation preferredFamiliar with automotive Safety (ISO-26262) and Cyber Security (ISO-21434) normsHigh level of analytical ability where problems are unusual and difficult
