System Integration Engineer Requires Relocation to Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates
Role OverviewWe are seeking an experienced engineer to spearhead the on-ground integration, validation, and troubleshooting of advanced defense technologies. The position is primarily focused on delivering integrated surveillance and counter-drone systems, combining diverse sensors such as radars, electro-optics, RF scanners, GNSS modules, jamming units, and mission management software. The engineer will play a critical role in preparing these systems for real-world use, ensuring high reliability in demanding environments.
Key Responsibilities•Direct and execute on-site deployment and configuration of counter-drone and perimeter security platforms.•Set up, calibrate, and integrate subsystems including radar arrays, EO/IR imaging, RF detection units, jammers, and C2 interfaces.•Manage system-level connectivity and validate communication over network and serial protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, UDP, RS232, ASTERIX).•Conduct field trials, demonstrations, and acceptance testing in collaboration with customer teams.•Diagnose and resolve issues across software, hardware, and networking layers during deployments.•Provide detailed reporting and analysis to internal teams, including post-field reviews and system performance insights.•Maintain accurate system records and configuration documentation for all integrated deployments.•Ensure all integration and test activities comply with safety, electromagnetic emission, and operational guidelines.
QualificationsEssential:•Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Systems, Mechatronics, Telecommunications, or a closely related field.•Minimum 5 years of experience in deploying or integrating electronic or defense-grade systems in field environments.•Hands-on experience combining hardware and software components across communication protocols and interfaces.Preferred:•Over 7 years in operational integration roles involving radar, electronic warfare, or multi-sensor defense platforms.•Involvement with counter-UAS or surveillance technologies, particularly in remote or high-risk zones.•Familiarity with defense and aerospace standards for integration, safety, and compliance.•Exposure to projects in contested environments such as GNSS-denied areas.Desirable Attributes•High attention to detail and commitment to system reliability.•Strong orientation toward results and operational outcomes.•Ability to adapt to complex integration challenges and take initiative in problem-solving.•Capable of working independently in dynamic field settings while collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
