Trade Compliance Analyst – ON-SITE

Job Overview

logoYour responsibilities:Identify trade compliance issues related, but not limited to documentation, HS classification, country of origin, valuation, health regulatory matter, ECCN, export control screening, sanctions, export license, Post Entry, and entry reconciliation.Support Global Trade Management System (GTM) and Oracle item data integrity related to tariff classification, country of origin, and value information declared to Customs authorities.Perform Free Trade Agreement analysis (e.g. EU Trade Agreements) Certificates of Origin in compliance with applicable regulations, including the coordination of all files and certificates in accordance with company policy.Work closely with the ICU customs brokers globally and provide required clearance information timely as needed.Support internal and external audits by collecting, analysing, reconciling data and documents, and identifying the areas of improvements.Develop and modify Global Trade Compliance processes and procedures by collaboration with internal key stakeholders as necessary to minimize compliance risk, under the direction of Global Trade Compliance Supervisor.Maintain recordkeeping of Customs entry documentation globally and ensure recordkeeping requirements are met.Prepare periodic compliance reports, including analyzing import and export data. Compile, review, and prepare global trade key performance indicators (KPIs).Support in ensuring the ICU’s Supply Chain Security program meets and exceed the minimum security criteria by partnering with ICU business partners.Any other tasks assigned to meet the target.
Our requirements:Bachelor’s degree in a related field.Minimum of 2 years import, export, and trade compliance related experience.Knowledge of international trade and Customs regulations, such as Harmonized System code, customs valuation, preferential / free trade agreements, and rules for Country of Origin.Knowledge of MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of global Customs and global health regulatory agencies, import requirements, Export Administration Regulations (EAR), Customs procedures as well as associated documentary requirements.Must have strong research, analytical, and critical thinking skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including negotiation and presentation skills. Communicates effectively and interacts professionally with customers, colleagues and management.Good organizational skills with the ability to plan, organize, prioritize, multi-task, and use time effectively. Demonstrates attention to detail.
