Scope of the Project:You will be tasked with leading and overseeing the Usability Engineering process for medical devices. This includes planning, conducting, and documenting usability testing, with a focus on Summative Evaluation. The role also involves close collaboration with the Risk Management team and other stakeholders to identify, prioritize, and address any usability issues that arise during the evaluation process.
Responsibilities:Lead the planning and execution of user studies for Summative Evaluation, with potential travel to the USA in Q1/Q2 2024.Work closely with the Risk Management team and stakeholders to develop test scenarios.Prepare and finalize test protocols, conduct tests, and document outcomes.Collaborate with teams to prioritize and resolve identified usability issues.Potentially assist in UX/UI design to address critical issues.Manage the creation, updating, and maintenance of the Usability Engineering File (UEF) and related documentation throughout the project.
Requirements:Proficiency in English at an advanced level (C1) in both spoken and written communication.Familiarity with IEC-62366 standards and FDA Human Factors guidance.Proven experience in Usability Engineering for Medical Devices.Strong ability to work independently and take initiative.Willingness and capability to undertake short-term travel to the USA and Germany for research activities.Flexibility to work with a global team, accommodating significant time zone differences.
