Primary Functions

Design and implement applications using web technologies mostly independentlyCreate and maintain product and support documentationAnalyze and evaluate requirements and propose high level design and technical solutions at all stages of developmentAnalyze solutions to ensure that they are interoperable, performant and maintainableAdhere to team/department coding standardsParticipate in and provide final approval for code reviewsResearch technologies that will be used in new and existing modules of the solution (e.g., Machine Learning frameworks, data storage and capture frameworks etc.)Advise and provide input into good technical design and industry trendsBreak down work for other team members and be the go to person for project issues/statusLead by example when it comes to department/team best practicesAccountable for ensuring that all working hours are accurately reported in NetSuite on a daily or weekly basis, that the majority of (if not all) hours are tracked as billable and that the project management tool in NetSuite is properly and fully utilized. Tracking and reporting of billable hours is a critical aspect of project management and delivery to our customers and this is a major area of accountability. Comply with the privacy, security and confidentiality policies.

Pre-requisites

5+ years of Software development experience is requiredExperience with Java, Spring, Rest API, SQL and GitDevelop middleware products, unit test practices, transaction processingCreating and maintaining clear documentationAbility to maintain repositories with a focus on code health and qualityExperience in end-to-end feature developmentKnowledge or experience in healthcare, HL7/ FHIR is an asset but not required
