Role/Department Description:
Data Solutions aims to deliver high value, connected data to fuel growth, improve client experiences, and provide a comprehensive suite of offerings that incorporate proprietary and third-party data sets, normalized through a common data model that ultimately enables clients to access market, company, and alternative data through various delivery methods.
FactSet engineers demonstrate ability to criticize code and production for improvement, as well as to receive and apply feedback effectively to develop expertise on our products.
We’re looking for passionate back-end engineers with proficiency, experience and fluency in web development, web apps cloud deployments, web package developments, code best practices and code libraries.
Focus is on creating new back-end software that help increase volume of collected data with consistent quality, stability and adherence to best practices. This will allow the engineer to gain a mastery of the products to which one is contributing and begin to participate in forward design discussions for how to improve based on one’s observations of the code, systems and production involved.
Responsibilities:
Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of data structures and algorithms, object-oriented programming, and software engineering principlesUse Python to build our back-end collection toolsWrite clean, efficient and well-documented code using industry best practicesEnsuring that deployed products are properly maintained throughout their lifecycleParticipate in design and code reviews of multiple projects across teamsShould be quick learner and open to learn new things.Troubleshoot and Debug frontend and backend applications to resolve issues and optimize performance
The team work with the following technical stack => AWS, fast API, python, pandas, SQL, CI/CD, pipeline, javascript, gitHUb, Vue.JS, typescript
Required Skills:
Bachelor or Engineering degree requiredFluent EnglishStrong technical, analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills2+ Years of experience in back-end developmentStrong proficiency in PythonKnowledge in JavaScript in a Web Development framework such as VueDatabase and SQL general knowledge (PostGres/Sql)Experience or knowledge of CI/CD concepts and Github would be appreciatedFluent English
