We are excited to invite a skilled Cobol Developer & Analyst to become a key member of our client’s dynamic team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in driving projects forward and enhancing system functionalities.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain Cobol applications (Microfocus) with a focus on high performance and reliability.Conduct functional and technical analyses to ensure alignment with business needs and project requirements.Actively participate in projects, implementing new features and making necessary configurations.Provide accurate time estimations for project tasks to ensure timely execution and smooth workflow.Identify and resolve issues proactively, offering effective solutions.Test code thoroughly to guarantee quality and stability of the system.Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and feature implementation.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

Advanced expertise in COBOL programming with practical experience in a similar role.Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand complex business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.Experience with SQL / PL-SQL is a plus.Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment.Detail-oriented, with a pragmatic approach and a positive attitude.Proficient in Dutch or French is required.Willing to work 50% of the time at our client’s Brussels office.
