Job Description

Title: Consumer Insights Analyst

FLSA Classification: Exempt

Department: Data Insights

Reports to: Category and Consumer Insights Director

Date: 9/2024

Salary: $70K-80K + bonus

Job Summary:

The Consumer Insights Analyst will help BeatBox make informed decisions by understanding consumer behavior and market trends. In this role, you’ll gather and analyze data to provide insights that guide product development, marketing, and business strategies. You’ll work with different teams to translate research into actionable recommendations, helping drive innovation and improve customer experiences. The ideal candidate has experience with various primary research methodologies, is comfortable with data analysis, and can communicate insights clearly to influence business decisions.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position does not have direct supervisory responsibilities but is subject to change.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Work closely with product development, marketing, sales, finance, and innovation teams to ensure that consumer insights provide actionable insights to help drive strategy and product development. This may involve translating complex data into key insights to guide decision-making.Analyze consumer data from various sources, integrating them into business intelligence tools, like PowerBI, to create comprehensive reports and dashboards that offer actionable insights.Develop and maintain consumer insights databases to track industry benchmarks, historical trends, and performance metrics.Coordinate and manage relationships with external research vendors and platforms for custom research projects.Stay updated on the latest research methodologies and consumer insight tools to continually improve the efficiency and impact of research activities within the organization.Assist with the design and execution of primary and secondary research to understand consumer behaviors, attitudes, and trends within the Alcoholic Beverage industry. This may include surveys, focus groups, and data analysis.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Understanding of various primary research methodologies such as A/B testing, brand health tracking, central location testing, consumer segmentation, etc.Expert in Microsoft Excel. Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint and Google Slides.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Excellent time management skills and ability to multitask.Natural curiosity to learn about consumer trends and the market landscape.

Education/Experience:

Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) from a four-year College or university. Preferred degrees include Marketing, Business, Mathematics, Economics, or Data Analytics.2+ years of experience in a consumer insights role (vendor or supplier)Experience with PowerBI is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
