The Data Analyst II is responsible for for delivering data transfers when needed. This role shows extreme attention to detail to ensure that data updates and transfers are of the utmost quality.

We’re on the hunt for a new Data Analyst II for one of our teams. Through this position you’ll be responsible for executing data changes per request, either through backend database scripts or with the use of validated in-house Data Solution Tool. You’ll use your expertise in writing and execute SQL queries against MS SQL Database to extract data for Data Transfers and Reports.

As part of our team, your main responsibilities will be:
Responsible for executing data changes per request, either through backend database scripts or with the use of validated in-house Data Solution Tools. Creates and executes Data Change Guides (DCGs) and determines corresponding risk/impact. May be called upon to verify data change requests. Writes and executes SQL queries against MS SQL Database to extract data for Data Transfers and Reports. Creates DTS packages for imports into study databases. May be called upon to execute SAS queries against MS SQL Database to extract data for Data Transfers and Reports. Delivers client-requested database transfer datasets upon request. May be called upon to verify content of client-requested database transfer datasets per approved Data Transfer specifications. Follows Signant Standard Operating Procedures for data change management, data transfer verification and risk/impact assessment documentation. Creates stored procedures to manipulate data for data-driven changes to IXR system functionality if needed. Technical support after-hours, on-call time is required at set intervals. Contributes to the development and update of documentation and process improvements that reduce processing times, increase quality, mitigate operations risks, improve team performance, and meet departmental objectives and corporate objectives. Communicates effectively within a multi-disciplinary project team to complete assigned tasks on time and within budget.
DECISION MAKING AND INFLUENCE
Participates in special data-related projects as needed. Assist with other departmental initiatives and projects as required. Mentors less experienced staff. Ensure project staff are trained and adhere to project-specific, global, standardised data management processes. Represent Clinical Data Management in client visits, audits, inspections and bid defenses as needed.
You’ll need to bring :
Essential :
2-4 years of experience working in a data-driven environment. Demonstrate extreme attention to detail and organization in all aspects of work. In-depth working knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL), as well as Microsoft Windows 2000/2003/XP/7 and the suite of Microsoft Office applications. Ability to create and execute SQL Queries is required. Experience with standard data mining and data presentation techniques. Proven ability to handle multiple competing priorities, multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced work environment with minimal direct supervision. Must have excellent verbal and written communication and collaboration skills, including the ability to effectively document procedures, processes and results. Must have very strong skills with Microsoft Office applications. Must be comfortable working with business users and technical teams.
Desirable :
Familiarity with JIRA or JIRA Service Management is a plus. Working knowledge of SAS is a plus. Familiarity with 21 CFR Part 11 or experience in a regulated environment desirable
