Overview:

Our world class vision engineering team has built an engine that can process the movement of trucks and containers in real-time. It’s now time to unlock the potential of that engine by building SaaS applications that leverage the vision engine to transform the logistics industry.

We are seeking a dedicated Data Annotator to join our team. The appointee will work within the Data Team and focus on labelling and categorising data, including images and videos, to support the development of computer vision models. The role is crucial in ensuring the quality and accuracy of data used to train and evaluate Terminal’s machine learning performance in production. This job would suit a candidate who has recently completed a degree in computer science and is seeking their first appointment and training in data science in a leading-edge machine learning team. We also encourage applications from candidates from a variety of technical backgrounds who have some recent experience in data annotation. Training in the specifics of the domain of interest (transportation and logistics) will be provided by the company.

Responsibilities:

Accurately label images and videos using specialised annotation tools or platformPerform quality check to ensure accuracy and consistency of annotationsWork closely with ML engineers and data scientists to understand the project requirement and provide feedback on annotation processes. Report on any data inconsistencies or issues and provide suggestions for improving data annotation process and tooling’s.

Required skills and qualifications:

Previous experience in data annotation specifically on image or video entitiesFamiliarity with industry-standard annotation tools and basic knowledge of computer vision conceptsStrong attention to detail and accuracy in data labellingGood communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members

Preferred skills and qualifications:

Experience in using third-party annotation platform (such as Encord)Experience in using computer assisted annotation toolingUnderstanding of computer vision and machine learning conceptsExperience in creating and/or working with data ontologies and knowledge structures would be an advantage
