Position Summary:

The Employee Benefits Data Analyst is responsible for the ongoing maintenance and integrity of the core agency management data. In this role, you will work closely with accounting, operations, and other departments to oversee and improve the integrity of our agency’s data. This includes problem identification and resolution, review and maintenance of our current processes, and working with our data team to deliver accuracy and efficiency within the department.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Support the Employee Benefits Operations team in collaboration with Accounting to recognize and resolve data issues Understand the key factors of integrated software systems and how data is transmitted and interpreted between systems Leverage problem solving skills to identify root causes of issues and best practices for solutions Analyze and communicate report data.Extract, evaluate, and interpret complex reports across integrated systems, summarize key data (identify inconsistencies, errors, missing information and payments, etc.) and results, and effectively communicate findings to stakeholders in a timely manner Investigate and resolve discrepancies. Research, identify, and resolve discrepancies, including payment issues, by collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders, carriers, vendors, and ensure process improvement Audit and ensure data accuracy. Conduct audits of data entry for accuracy, identify and correct errors, and recommend improvements to maintain data integrity and meet Company standards Create and customize reports for review and analysis Manage and audit data conversions Provide input on current processes, identify and make suggestions for improved data integrity Follow through with stakeholders to ensure audit correction completion and close projects Conduct testing to ensure integrated data is transmitted accurately Coordinate with various departments to support the improvement and development of data Support the facilitation of carrier documents and access, banking information and provide problem resolution assistance Participate with management and other employees on special projects and additional tasks as assigned

Travel Requirements

Travel may be required to vendor functions. In addition, travel may be required to branch locations for initial and/or ongoing training where virtual training is not an option.

Qualifications

Experience/Skills Desired:

Driven, self-motivated, enthusiastic, team player with a “can do” attitude 5+ years’ experience with advanced data analytics in the insurance industry Bachelor’s degree BenefitPoint and/or AMS experience necessary, Epic a plus Knowledge of Employee Benefits Advanced knowledge of Excel and proficient in all other Microsoft Office products Ability to identify patterns and trends and make recommendations Strong attention to detail with an exceptional level of accuracy, pride of work ownership, ability to work independently and with a team Interested in improving processes for analyzing and maintaining data Ability to effectively communicate complicated details in a simplified way Desire to become a subject matter expert Eager to learn new systems and applications, adaptable to dynamic needs and receptive to feedback Continuous improvement mindset, analytical thinker, strong problem-solving, analysis, and time management skills Exhibit strong communication and interpersonal skills, with professionalism and business acumen in all written and verbal interactions, to work in a collaborative environment Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment leveraging strong planning, organizational, and prioritization skills This is a remote position that requires a reliable internet connection and a distraction free working environment
