Founded in 2019 with the support of the European Union , SiPearl embodies Europe’s dream of mastering the technological heart of its supercomputers: the microprocessor.

SiPearl is building Rhea, the high-performance, low-power European microprocessor dedicated to supercomputing and AI inference.

This new generation of microprocessors will first target EuroHPC Joint Undertaking ecosystem, which is deploying world-class supercomputing infrastructures in Europe for solving major challenges in medical research, artificial intelligence, security, energy management and climate with a reduced carbon footprint.

SiPearl is working in close collaboration with its 30 partners from the European Processor Initiative (EPI) consortium – leading names from the scientific community, supercomputing centers and industry – which are its stakeholders, future clients and end-users.

 About The Role

In this role, you will work closely with the Firmware Team Leader.

 What a regular day at the job might look like

Read and analyse the system requirements and architecture requirement documents,Read and analyse the hardware specificationsWrite software specifications and design documents, Develop part of embedded firmware to configure hardware properly to reach performance target,Collaborate closely with hardware teams (memory map, pinout, hardware setup…),Collaborate with the Software Integration and Test team.

 What would make you succeed in this role

5-10 years of experience in embedded software development (microcontrollers with or without Operating System – C / Assembly), Experience of development with ARM Cortex-M or Cortex-R families, Experience of benchmarking software (memory footprint, performance characterization), Experience with software development tools (ARMDS or Codeblocks, DStream, Trace32), Experience with software tools (Git or SVN, Gitlab or Jira, CID/CD…), (Preferred) Experience of using tools and script languages for automated integration (python, bash), (Preferred) Technical writing skills (documentations, unitary test plans), (Optionally) Experience of development with RISC-V microcontrollers.You are adaptable and flexible You are autonomous Excellent oral and writing English communication.
