As part of the Global Business Intelligence (BI) group, this role is instrumental in supporting the achievement of strategic business goals and establishing a top-tier operational organization. It entails developing advanced analytics that transform business challenges and opportunities into analytical products. These products generate meaningful insights, streamline processes, and establish and advance best practices. In this role, the primary objectives are to:
1) Establish new or improve existing tools and processes for opportunity pipeline analytics to increase data-driven insights, assess on-going pipeline health, performance and velocity and help inform decision making for strategic sales growth.
2) Support the global category strategies by conducting strategic analytics and category performance diagnostics to help category leaders better understand market and business performance, triangulating both internal and external data sources for data-backed insights for annual growth planning.
3) Establish a robust process to drive key data governance and quality enhancement initiatives. This involves vigilant monitoring and rectification of data discrepancies and modifications necessary for ensuring data precision. Additionally, take an active role in standardizing and harmonizing data to maintain uniformity and reliability as source of truth.
The ideal candidate will excel in managing large and diverse data sets, possess the creativity to establish connections between them, and demonstrate proficiency in sourcing data from a broad spectrum of origins to extract meaningful conclusions and insights. This position is pivotal in enhancing IFF’s analytical competency, utilizing data science to explore strategic avenues for growth, and crafting tools, solutions, reports, and recommendations that create more informed decision-making at all levels of the organization.

Your Responsibilities:Prepare and update monthly and quarterly pipeline reporting and analysis to support review process.Develop opportunity pipeline analytics prototypes – including descriptive, prescriptive, and predictive – to surface business roadblocks and identify opportunities for sales growth and planning.Set up processes and standards for accurate data usage; implement the consistent approach, definition and methodology across business functions and geographies and define best practices for metrics measurement and operating principles to track and evaluate business performance.Design and develop, with Category leaders, full-scale analytics tools integrating multiple data sources (internal and external) for on-going performance review and tracking, annual strategic planning, and portfolio management.Drive prove-of-concept and adoption by engaging various business and function team as needed.Work cross-functionally with Salesforce, IT, Business and Finance for resolving data quality and reporting issues to enable high-quality data products.

Your Required Skills:Strong technical and analytical skills; able to apply both quantitative & qualitative methods and business skills to create value-added insights.Strong understanding of business intelligence and data warehouse concepts (e.g., data structuring, Excel modeling, reporting, etc.)Strong financial acumen particularly in financial reporting and planning processesExperience and skills in finance/business systems, business intelligence (BI) and/or analytics tools such as SAP, BW, PowerBI, Tableau, knowing CRM Salesforce is a plus.Strong communication and Microsoft PowerPoint & presentation skillsDetail-oriented and conceptual thinking skills.Personal initiative, resilience as well as a self-motivated and goal-oriented working attitude.Excellent time management skills. Flexibility to work beyond normal business hours occasionally in collaborating with international teams, if needed.Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and work cross-functionally.

Your Required Experience:A 4-year bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in computer science, mathematics, economics, finance, engineering, or similar5+ years of work experience in business intelligence /data analytics role (or Data Analytics certificate/program equivalent) or in management consulting or finance/business analysisWork independently and across a matrix organization with business partners, functional owners, technology teams and external vendorsTrack record of delivering information products from idea to deployment

Job Location: Europe – Germany or the Netherlands. This position offers flexibility with remote work arrangements, allowing candidates to work from various locations. However, occasional visits to the office may be required. Candidates based anywhere in Europe are encouraged to apply.
