Position Description

Provide quality assurance of imported dataSupporting the Data Engineers in gathering, understanding and interpreting business requirementsIdentify, evaluate and implement external services and tools to support data validation and cleansingMonitor and audit data qualityEvaluating changes and updates to source production systemsManipulate, analyze and interpret complex data sets relating to the businessWork the JIRA ticket queue for any data related requests and tasksCreate and maintain data dictionary documentation as required

Requirements

BS in Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics, Information Management or StatisticsPost-graduate qualifications (in related disciplines) would be advantageous1-3 years’ professional experience as a Data Analyst, or in a similar roleExperience in interpreting and validating requirements through factual analysis and challenging of requirements and associated assumptionsDemonstrated T-SQL scripting skillsHands on experience in handling large data setsHands on experience in analytics and data insights using tools such as Tableau, Looker, and Power BIStrong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracyHigh-level written and verbal communication skills

Our Preferred Qualifications

Hands on experience with AWS or other public cloud providers is highly desirable.Familiarity with source code management tools (e.g., GitHub, Bitbucket)Familiarity with one or more scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell, R, etc.)Hands on experience in analytics and data insights using tools such Tableau, Looker or Power BIExperience with Redshift DW highly desirable Experience with ETLELT toolsFamiliarity with tools like JIRA, Gitlab, and Confluence
