What You’ll Do
In this role, you will work within an Agile team to bring the designs and ideas to life for new or improved web applications. This work will support internal clients. You will work with globally distributed product managers, UX, software engineers, and more to plan, design, develop, test, and implement impactful solutions that support hundreds of ADP applications. You will start your day on a scrum call to prioritize and track work. Within the team you work on, you will choose user stories to work within a sprint cycle. You will spend most of your day developing and testing your code. You will play a key role in development and periodic release activities. Support the development of innovative network core, security and web services self-service automation and life-cycle management tool development from concept to delivery with a focus on new technologies in the areas of Public/Private Cloud, SASE, SDN, SD-WAN, Load Balancing, Network Security CDN, DNS and automation. Participate in all facets of requirements gathering, prioritization, design, development, testing and execution of network engineering and security automation requests Build strong cross-organizational relationships; effectively work with staff across the IT organization and the broader enterprise to align the network security technologies with overall organization needs Support the development of network performance and capacity guidance dashboards to collect, analyze, and summarize data and trends Support adoption of new technologies and tools, recommend capability improvements, and assist in lab/QA deployments for technology trials Work closely with system of record owners to define integration rules and data acquisition options (streaming, replication, batch, etc.). Work with core network, security and webservice engineers to define workflows and data quality monitors Follow software life-cycle best practices and ensure quality control Perform detailed data analysis to understand the content and viability of data sources to meet desired use cases. Be a mentor to other team members and lead through example by influencing the use of standards defined by the team and technical leadership As a Lead Developer, you will work closely with your teammates to drive projects to success. You’ll have a hands-on role designing, developing, debugging, and deploying software solutions where you can leverage your expertise with code complexities. You’ll also serve as a mentor to the junior developers. In the lead role, you will balance the assigning of user stories through prioritization and consideration of the technical interests of each developer on the team. To Succeed In This Role
You’ll have a Bachelor’s degree OR equivalent. Network and Security Infrastructure knowledge and experience a plus To thrive in this development career, you’ll need to be an expert in Python, SQL, and shell scripting. You’ll need experience developing RESTful web services, ideally using the Python Flask framework, and strong working knowledge of microservices architecture, containerization, orchestration, infrastructure as code, and GitOps. You should be comfortable reviewing and contributing code to frontend projects that use HTML/CSS, JavaScript, Typescript, Angular and/or React. As this position will report to the Global Infrastructure Engineering organization, a strong working knowledge of IT infrastructure and cloud concepts, particularly in the area of network engineering, will set you apart as a uniquely qualified candidate. You strive to learn new technologies and find ways to incorporate what you learn into building your products. You have an extensive proven commercial track record of experience in relevant skills gained and developed in the same or similar role.
