YOUR MISSION
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced engineer to join our team.Floy is supporting radiologists by boosting their diagnostics efforts with unconventional AI products focused on overlooked diseases. You will lead a fast-paced engineering team tasked to optimize the key infrastructure and tech stack to solve unexplored radiological diagnostics problems. This means that you are experienced with data and service infrastructure, possess a versatile tech stack, can think out-of-the-box, and have the ability to plan and execute R&D tasks with your team independently and passionately.The goal is to enable interdisciplinary teams and shape processes that are able to scale with the growth of Floy. You own the system engineering, data engineering, engineering productivity, and test engineering domains.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead and guide a team of diversely specialized engineersCreate Floys’ core infrastructure to support and enable other teams in various domains of Data, Apps, CI/CD, common ML/DevOPsTake ownership of in-house projects and manage stakeholders requirements, and design efficient processesFocus on scalability and efficiency to support rapid growthOptimize for system stability, security, fast processing times and stakeholder requirements within medical regulatory frameworks
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
A degree in a relevant scientific (Computer Science, Software Engineering) discipline or equivalent experience in a related fieldStrong proficiency in Python and underlying core conceptsStrong attitude to support and collaborate with other (engineering)teamsStrong commitment to teamwork and communication skillsKnowledge in containerization and the use of cloud platformsA keen eye for detail and commitment to requirement/user driven engineeringExcellent written and verbal communication skills in the English languageVersatile tech stack including Python, Docker, Bash, GCP, API development
Good-to-have:
Experience working with DICOM and/or in the radiology field is a big plusExperience in working with deploying and managing in-house / external apps
