Position Overview:We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Procurement Data Analyst to join our Global Business Services team at WSP.com.
The Procurement Data Analyst will play a crucial role in ensuring that supplier data is accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with internal policies and external regulations. They will typically work within procurement, supply chain, or finance departments and focus on maintaining the integrity of supplier records, enabling efficient supplier management, purchasing processes, and risk mitigation.
The role involves ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and completeness of supplier data within the organization’s ERP or procurement systems. Being part of the team that manages the end-to-end process of supplier data entry, updates, and verification to support efficient procurement and supply chain operations to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal data governance standards.
Key Responsibilities:Enter and maintain accurate supplier data, including company details, contacts, payment terms, tax information, and banking details.Process Global supplier onboarding requests and ensure new suppliers meet all requirements before adding them to the system.Regularly update supplier information based on additional requirements as determined by the businessPerform regular data validation, auditing, and cleansing to ensure data integrity.Identify and correct discrepancies in supplier records, including duplications, outdated information, or incomplete data.Establish data quality standards and ensure compliance with internal and external regulations (e.g., tax laws, compliance requirements).Collaboration with Procurement and Supply Chain Teams:Work closely with procurement, finance, and supplier management teams to gather supplier data and ensure smooth supplier onboarding.Support cross-functional teams by providing accurate supplier data for sourcing, contracting, and payment processes.Act as a liaison between the company and suppliers to ensure accurate documentation and smooth communication regarding data-related issues.Flag and escalate potential risks, such as non-compliant or high-risk suppliers, to the appropriate teams for further action.Continuously review and improve supplier data management processes to enhance efficiency and reduce errors.Implement automation tools and solutions where possible to streamline supplier data maintenance tasks.Participate in system upgrades, testing, and deployment of supplier data modules within ERP or procurement systems.Maintain detailed documentation of data maintenance processes, procedures, and updates.Generate reports on supplier data quality, compliance status, and risk assessments for internal stakeholders.Provide regular updates to management on the status of supplier data maintenance activities.
Key Qualifications:1-3 years of experience in supplier data management, procurement, supply chain, or a related role.Professional level of French and EnglishProficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar), procurement systems, and data management tools.Strong data entry and management skills, with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.Knowledge of data governance principles and supplier compliance requirements.Strong organizational and time management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Information Systems, or related field.Experience with supplier or vendor management in a large organization.Knowledge of relevant industry regulations (e.g., tax laws, trade compliance, environmental standards).Familiarity with automation tools for data processing (e.g., RPA – Robotic Process Automation).Experience with data reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Excel.
Key Competencies:Detail-Oriented: Ensure that supplier data is accurate and up-to-date, paying close attention to data consistency and quality.Analytical Skills: Ability to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for process improvements.Collaboration: Work effectively with internal teams (procurement, finance, supply chain) and external suppliers.Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot issues related to supplier data and take corrective actions promptly.Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills to ensure clear and effective interaction with internal teams and external suppliers.
