Position Summary
We are looking for an experienced Private/Public Cloud Engineer to join our Cloud and Resource Orchestration development team. You will be part of a Scrum team focusing on designing, developing, and delivering the infrastructure and orchestration layer for our applications. You will play a key role in defining, implementing, testing, and releasing new capabilities and services, ensuring robust and innovative cloud solutions.
Please note we are not looking for candidates with a primary focus on cloud operations but those with a strong development background.
Responsibilities
Cloud Development and Innovation :
Contribute to designing, implementation,debugging,testing and releasing cloud components Ensure high-quality software delivery with a focus on compliance with security and protection policies Drive innovation in cloud architecture and infrastructure, focusing on development and automation
Collaboration And Support
Engage in Scrum events, cross-team planning, and review activities to ensure cohesive and effective development practices. Mentor junior colleagues in best practices for test automation and cloud engineering Support the product owner in prioritizing technical user stories related to cloud services and infrastructure
Continuous Improvement
Propose and implement improvements in the cloud services and the overall orchestration layer Prevent, analyze, and resolve incidents and field issues with a proactive approach Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices to ensure optimal solutions
Documentation And Knowledge Transfer
Create user-oriented documentation focusing on cloud infrastructure and orchestration Transfer necessary knowledge to other engineering teams to ensure a thorough understanding of cloud practices and processes
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience. Experience and Skills: 5+ years of experience as a Cloud Engineer. Expert knowledge of GNU/Linux (preferably Red Hat Enterprise Linux). Expert knowledge of Cloud Service Provider platforms. Good knowledge of Cloud security and open-source Cloud Native platforms/tools. Proficiency in scripting and programming best practices (git, python, ansible, bash). Strong understanding of Kubernetes (K8S), AKS, EKS, Helm, etc. Good understanding of CI/CD pipelines, automation, and DevOps principles. Hands-on experience with network infrastructure, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and Configuration Management. Knowledge of Virtualized and Containerized Network Functions. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Experience working in a Scrum team and telecommunications environment is a plus. Fluent in English (written and oral); Dutch is an asset.
