About the position
As the newest member of a highly skilled and cross-functional team, you will be responsible for a big data application for traffic monitoring, in particular rest area observation.

Your tasks may include:
Develop and Maintain Scalable Big Data Applications: Design, implement, and operate scalable big data applications to monitor traffic in rest areas. Data Privacy and Security: Ensure all processes comply with legal requirements for data privacy and security. Facilitate Expert Data Access: Provide accessible data to traffic and GIS experts for analysis and decision-making.
Your profile
Must-Have Skills:
Strong programming skills with a minimum of 3 years of software engineering experience, primarily in Python. Proven experience in developing microservice architecture, distributed systems, and RESTful APIs. Extensive knowledge in Streaming, and Big Data. Experience with TDD, BDD, and clean code principles. Proficiency in an agile development environment. Ability to speak German professionally. Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field, software engineering, or a similar discipline.
Bonus Points for Having:
Proficiency in Apache Flink and Apache Kafka. Familiarity with cloud systems, particularly AWS. Experience in GIS. An advanced degree.
