Job Overview
Design and develop ETL pipelines using Python and AWS servicesHelp prioritise our backlog with a balance between short-term deliverables and longer-term investment in our technologyEffectively communicate trade-offs to other areas of the businessCollaborate with the whole development team to influence system architecture and feature designDesign, test, and deploy new features in a continuous and iterative mannerWork autonomously on projects from start to finish, and be responsible for the code you write. You build it, you run it.
Key RequirementsSeveral years experience as a backend engineerExperience with AWS: ECS, Lambda, API Gateway, SNS/SQSStrong testing practices, especially Test Driven DevelopmentExperience with Enterprise Integration PatternsAn end-to-end systems-mindset; we are building a product that should grow itself and require minimal intervention from our teamExperience working in a close knit, collaborative, rapidly growing teamThe ability to work in a highly agile environment, using CI/CD practicesA passion for creating products that are user-friendly and contribute to our product-led growth strategyA knack for identifying good UXFluency in English, with excellent written and verbal communicationNice to have: Experience with Event Driven Architecture and System architecture
