Position Purpose:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior QA Engineer to join our Special Projects team, focusing on the exploration and implementation of software solutions making use of Generative AI.[WW1] This individual must be a technologist & engineer at heart and be comfortable in enabling new technology and being hands-on with the execution of the strategy. The candidate must exhibit a deep understanding of modern technology stack and agile delivery models, with a strong focus on customer experience and a proven track record of modernizing technologies[WW2] .Close collaboration and alignment with business teams, application development teams, and security will be crucial. Exceptional abilities in building and maintaining strong working relationships, along with organizational savvy will be essential. High-level communication and presentation skills are also required. The ability to attract, retain, and develop engineering talent will be critical.
Responsibilities:
Create test strategies and test plans, including resource planning and test execution estimations.Analyze software design specifications, data requirements, and software requirements to ensure comprehensive test coverage, and maintain test cases as functionality evolves.Conduct both automated and manual testing, as well as other tasks necessary to support the overall Quality Testing Team.Analyze test failures and collaborate with Software Engineers to investigate root causes, and assign resources in JIRA for remediation.Perform various types of testing: Functional, Automation, Regression, and Data testing.Provide testing evidence required for compliance approval.Execute additional duties as assigned.Collaborate closely with teammates to achieve team goals and meet timelines.
Requirements: 5+ years of experience in software testing.Expertise in either functional test automation or performance testing.Proficiency in Python.Strong experience with complex SQL, and familiarity with NoSQL technologies is a plus.Experience in writing test plans, API scripts, complex SQL, and test cases.Experience leading end-to-end software quality testing efforts.Proficiency in test frameworks such as Pytest, Selenium (or equivalent), and Locust (or equivalent). Experience in BDD is a plus.Familiarity with Agile or Scrum software development methodologies.Ability to coach, mentor, and pair with other team members on best practices.Hands-on experience in all phases of the integration development lifecycle, including unit testing and ongoing support.Exposure to cloud implementation testing preferably GCP.
