What You’ll Do

This is a role for a junior software engineer who is eager to contribute to a small, fast-paced team that is developing solutions to a growing market. We have a need for an individual to develop embedded software to support cutting edge RF Environment Stimulation systems. The ideal candidate will participate in developing large projects throughout the entire program life cycle. You’ll work closely with the hardware and firmware teams to develop large, modern, complex systems.

The day-to-day

You’ll play a key role in the design and development of ground breaking RF Environment Generation Stimulators to DoD, commercial and civilian aviation customers. You’ll develop software and integrate complex, real-time systems. Working with the system and hardware teams to design solutions. Developing and Integrating software in a modern lab environment. Demonstrating and delivering installations to remote customers. This role provides an opportunity to work with some of the most modern aviation systems in the world.

What You’ll Need

Completion of a Bachelor’s degree or higher between May 2023-September 2025 in Engineering, Computer Science, or related disciplineThe ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a lab environmentExperience using software languages including C/C++, Python, and/or JSONCurrent U.S. citizenshipAbility to receive a US SECRET-SAR / TS-SCI clearance

Previous Viasat internship experienceStrong oral and written communications skillsBeing a self-motivated individual that can work well independently and on a teamProficiency with test equipment – oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, etc.Ability to develop modular code that is easy to maintain

Salary range

$108,500.00 – $181,300.00 / annually
