We have an opportunity for a Software Engineer – Guidance and Navigation to join our Honeywell team in Krakow.

The Avionics industry is entering into an exciting new age of Urban Air Mobility and Autonomous Flight. Be part of a team that will lead the way in this market by developing new compact and lightweight Next Generation Traffic and Surveillance avionics that will be used on a wide variety of aircraft platforms, from Air Transport and Business Jets to UAM/UAS, allowing you to grow your expertise in an exciting industry niche.

This is a hybrid role, 3 days in office, 2 from home.

You will help create breakthrough innovations that will ensure Honeywell’s leadership position and take a technical leadership role in creating system solutions for the SGN (Sensing, Guidance and Navigation) team that will meet the long-term evolving needs of our customers. This a chance to work on one of the most successful products for Honeywell in the segment, and to further grow your expertise while dealing with existing and new innovative projects. Joining our growing team is an exciting opportunity to develop new partnerships on the local market and witness the growth of the team developing relevant products. You will enjoy the cooperation and strong support from the other relevant Honeywell sites in the region, making sure you have all you need to succeed in the role.

Key Responsibilities

Perform Embedded / Application Software

Requirements and architecture modification/creationCode modification/creation (includes debugging and troubleshooting)Test cases, procedures, and scripts modification/creation, execution (both informal and formal runs)Documentation creation, certification supportDevelopment/test environment setup

Key Skills And Qualifications

Experience with embedded / application software development 2+ years of experience in relevant industry (aerospace, automotive, industrial, etc.), proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++/Python and design/test automationCommand of the English at B2 level at minimumKnowledge of software development processes and best practices, software design tools (e.g. Enterprise Architect), scripting languages (e.g. Perl), software configuration management tools (e.g. Git), requirements management tools (e.g. DOORS), change management tools (e.g. Jira) is a plus, test management tools (e.g. TestLink, Robot) is a plus
