Reducing CO2 emission by reducing food-waste as well as a more effective personnel planning help our customers to use their ressources more effectively.

At our entity in Munich we want to expand our software developer teams. Therefore, we are looking for an experienced Senior Python Backend Developer, who is skilled in the technologies and methods mentioned below.

Work as part of an agile, cross-functional team and contribute to areas depending on your experience and interests:Interface our systems with third-party devices, e.g. kitchen equipment, POS systemsCollaborate with our Machine Learning engineers to create and maintain a robust and efficient runtime environment for our cutting-edge Computer Vision algorithms and object detection and classification modelsConnect our systems to customer-specific UIs and log operator feedbackDesign and implement robust and efficient loggers for image, video and process data to contribute to our data lakes for AI training purposesTest the systems hands-on with our demo setups/replicas within our facilitiesMonitor our systems at our customers’ while we are scaling from pilot projects to rollouts spanning thousands of restaurantsFind the best way to apply your talents to our team, either supervising fellow engineers or specializing in your favorite technology

Your profile

The following skillset are exemplary for what we generally need in our teams.

at least 3+ years of professional experience in Python and its important frameworks and modules, e.g. pytest, Flask, Django, requests, asyncioa strong passion for IoT and AI based software developmentLinux OS and networking fundamentalsMessage queues like Kafka, Redis, MQTT or ZeroMQ and event-driven systemsDatabase design for MongoDB, PostgreSQL or InfluxDBKnowledge of Docker/Podman is an advantage

What We Offer

Our systems optimize restaurant operations by solving a supply and demand problem. We estimate sales numbers, monitor inventory, and advise the crew on what to cook when in order not to stock out while keeping food as fresh as possible and minimizing waste. Our platform consists of multiple edge devices running different machine learning and computer vision algorithms and a restaurant server that serves UIs to the crew. In addition to everything happening within a restaurant, process data is uploaded to our servers for statistical analysis and optimization of our algorithms and models.
