The function: Test and Validation Developer

Barco IX (in Kortrijk) is looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Test and Validation Engineer to join our growing team. You will be part of a broader international team based in Belgium, Norway and China.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain test suites and manually execute the needed tests.Plan, design, implement and run system tests with our hardware and peripherals.Analyze and report test results, find gaps in test coverage, report and track defects to development teams and follow up closely on the resolution.Collaborate with SW and HW developers, architects and product owners to improve the testability of our software; promote shift-left testing approach.Help improve the CI system by transforming manual tests into system tests using Python.Manage the releases of embedded software (engineering requests, release notes, follow up implementation in production, etc.)

Competencies

You have a hands-on, ‘can-do’ attitude.You have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.You are a team player and you have good communication skills in English.Knowledge on image projection technology is a plus.Experience with software development in Python to automate tests is a plus.You are willing to travel (occasionally).
